Since 2019, Art in the Park as organized by Wildlife Environmental Society of Malawi(WESM) has brought a unique twist to what interacting with visual art entails.

This year’s first edition boasted variety and brilliance with the 45 artists exhibiting their works in different styles receiving tremendous support, many of them selling out before the event finally came to an end.

Starting on the 10th of May 2024, the event saw many patrons flood in to feast their eyes on the brilliant color filled canvases as well as carefully curated sculptures and carvings which were displayed. With a number of familiar faces and plenty new ones, the addition of new artists to the event from all across the country was intriguing as enthusiasts got to learn about the inspiration behind the art, with some even divulging their special creative processes.
